Ariel
Virshup joined the Porter group in the MSE department
of Carnegie Mellon University in 2004. She received a B.S. in
Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh
in April 2004. Her current research projects at Carnegie Mellon
include developing ohmic contacts to boron-based semiconductors
and studying the stability of ohmic contacts to silicon carbide
for high temperature applications such as gas sensors. Ariel's
professional memberships include ASM, TMS, AcerS, and SWE.
