I was born in the Bay Area, and raised in Seattle. I attended Brown University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 2000. After taking the summer of 2000 off, I enrolled as a graduate student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at CMU. I am now entering my fifth year of grad school (or as I like to call it, 21st grade). My main hobbies are photography and ultimate frisbee. I also enjoying playing golf and skiing. Alas, the hills of Western Pennsylvania are not a lot like the mountains out west.
